Please complete the Scholarship Application to become a candidate for a Hallandale Scholarship Fund grant. The three different scholarships are open to residents of the City of Hallandale Beach who meet the following criteria:

 

 

CUM LAUDE SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Resident of the City of Hallandale Beach from before July 1st of preceding year
  2. GPA must be weighted 3.5 or higher
  3. SAT must be 1230 or higher – OR – ACT must be 26 or higher
  4. Applicant must graduate with a regular high school diploma and be accepted to an accredited school
  5. Upon request, the Hallandale Scholarship Fund may request the submission of proof of residency
  6. Include 300 – 600 word essay stating why you want to go to college – essay must be typewritten/word processed
  7. Return completed application promptly to your BRACE Advisor to be sent to Hallandale Scholarship Fund

by April 1st

 

COLLEGE INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Resident of the City of Hallandale Beach from before July 1st of preceding year
  2. GPA must be weighted 3.0 or higher
  3. SAT must be 1060 or higher- OR – ACT must be 21 or higher
  4. Applicant must graduate with a regular high school diploma and be accepted to an accredited school
  5. Upon request, the Hallandale Scholarship Fund may request the submission of proof of residency
  6. Include 300 – 600 word essay stating why you want to go to college – essay must be typewritten/word processed
  7. Return completed application promptly to your BRACE Advisor to be sent to Hallandale Scholarship Fund

by April 1st

 

EDUCATION ADVANCEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

  1. Resident of the City of Hallandale Beach from before July 1st of preceding year
  2. GPA must be weighted 2.5 or higher
  3. SAT must be 880 or higher- OR – ACT must be 16 or higher
  4. Applicant must graduate with a regular high school diploma and be accepted to an accredited school
  5. Upon request, the Hallandale Scholarship Fund may request the submission of proof of residency
  6. Include 300 – 600 word essay stating why you want to go to college – essay must be typewritten/word processed
  7. Return completed application promptly to your BRACE Advisor to be sent to Hallandale Scholarship Fund

by April 1st

 

 

 

The Scholarship Committee will determine which of the three scholarships an applicant is eligible to receive. Those students qualifying for the Cum Laude Scholarship will be asked to attend a brief interview with the committee, at Hallandale High School, in April.
